Job Description
English tutor and host family provider, for a unique English immersion program. Students are primarily Japanese, some Europeans, and come for 1-4 weeks. Teachers provide 15 hours of English per week, plus 3 afternoons of sightseeing/activities. This exciting program helps students to improve their English quickly, and many students form long lasting relationships with their host families.
Qualifications:
ESL certification / Or a University degree and past experience teaching ESL
Native English speaker
Day time availability
No more than part time outside work commitments to allow plenty of time to spend with visiting students
A comfortable home with an attractive guest room
A friendly outgoing personality, and a heart for internationals!!
At this time we are especially looking for teacher's in Sonoma County for our "wine country" program. However, we have a continuing need for teachers IN San Francisco, as well. Therefore, teachers in both areas are encouarged to apply.
PAYMENT: $600.00 PER WEEK FOR 15 hours of English tutoring, 3 afternoons of sightseeing, comfortable homestay and providing all food. Extra compensation for airport pick up and deliveries, and extra services when required.
We also have a need for families with one member (or more) that can speak Japanese, for a special program for Japanese high school students.
